Mrs. Shelby Fondren
Welcome! I love being an ELA teacher at Geneva County Middle School! I am proud to be a member of the Hartford community and to be a Bulldog. I am getting ready to begin my fifth year as a teacher. Originally from Slocomb, Alabama, I graduated from Slocomb High School in 2012. I earned my bachelor's degree in English Language Arts from The University of Alabama in 2016. I am also currently working on completing a master's degree from Troy University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am happily married to my husband, Patrick, and together we have a son, Rhett. I also enjoy reading, cooking, cheering on the Tide, going to the lake/beach, and hanging out with friends.
Teaching is my passion, and I know without a doubt that it is my calling. I believe that all students have the ability to be successful. As an educator, I think that it is my job to see that through. I hope that our 7th and 8th graders are ready to embark on this journey together as we conquer the 2020-2021 school year.
