Mrs. Megan Barbaree
My name is Megan Barbaree, and I am the ELA Intervention teacher for Grades 6-12. After graduating from Geneva County High School in 2010, I earned my Bachelors in English Language Arts Education from Troy University in 2014 and my Masters in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama in 2020. This year marks my seventh in education during which time I have served as both a middle and high school ELA teacher. While I have enjoyed each year, I am so very excited to return home to the GCMS/GCHS family and am looking forward to serving our community.
My husband, Chris, and I are expecting our first child this year. During what little spare time we have as educators, I enjoy spending time with my family and shelter pups, adventuring, Pinterest crafts, and cheering on the Bulldogs/Tide/Trojans.
I look forward to working closely with my students and their families during the school year as we prepare each student for success in their future endeavors. With our top priority being the best interest of the students, I believe this will be an exciting year, and I truly look forward to being a part of it. Please feel free to contact me throughout the year with any questions or concerns.
